Tension Suspension
Across the web it got a lot of name for it you may or may not have heard this names, for example magic, levitating or anti-gravity structure....ugh it just a simple tension suspension construction don't confuse kid with weird name.....Or a Tensegrity Physic Toy.
Anyway tension suspension is commonly use in a bridge construction. The principal behind this is basically tension is being pull to a certain point while compression is pulling it down... I'll put a picture of mine its not accurate maybe at all but at least you know whats going on...
Again it's not accurate by idk at all ? But we got two type of forces in here or tension (I wish I hadn't sleep in class). The red force is pulling the rod down while the blue is keeping it up well by keeping it hang up ???? Fck my weird ass concept...
Now onto the tutorial if you a kid ask an adult if you don't understand anything or you can message me. You know what imma do a MS Paint tutorial, yeahhh.
there is a lot of way to do this like just using a long metal rod or the hard by using wood rod or other non bendable rod.
Imma teach using metal rod because its easier or you prefer the hard way ?(I'll put a short tutorial in the end but don't expect perfection I'm too lazy to do it).
All you gonna need is any long Rod or any bendable rod(That maintain its shape after bend) two of em and string. the measurement of the rod and string is depend on you you are free to use any length you want. I'll be using equation to define the whole process tho...
1. You want to take the rod and divide it into 5 parts the length is 4:1(the 4 parts must have the same length and the last one is half of the others). Now make another one with exact same instruction and bend them like my project picture above.
2.The string is the hard part because in the end it just a try failed test until you reach a point were it is perfect. First you gonna need 3 piece of string with the size of 3:1(again, 3 string with the same length and another is half or less shorter than the other ) and tie them at the model, look at the picture for reference.
Thats all here is a basic look of how your model should look (ps i drew it in ms paint so yeah its gonna suck).
And here is the bonus:
If you don't have any bendable rod or too lazy too look for it fret not you can use non-bendable like mine all you need is cut the rod into a few pieces with the length or margin based on the tutorial above and use a hot glue gun to stick it together again if you're a kid ask an adult to help you handle the hot glue gun you're model should look like mine.
Well that all for today i Hope you'll enjoy this crazy short project of mine that i did not invented or whatsoever.
