Kirigami

Today I'm not gonna make a tutorial, but instead I'm gonna explain, give you a few link to where you can find how to do this Kirigami. Fun Fact-pop up card sure you heard of it, it's actually kirigami. First Imma explain what is Kirigami.

Kirigami is like origami in that it is a form of paper art. The major difference is that in origami, you fold paper where as in kirigami, you fold and cut paper.

In the United States, the term "kirigami" was coined by Florence Temko. She used the word kirigami in the title of her book, Kirigami, the Creative Art of Paper-cutting, 1962. The book was so successful that the word kirigami was accepted as the name for the art of paper cutting. In Japan, the word kirigami had been in use for a long time because "kirumeans to cut, and “gamimeans paper. So, kirigami meant to cut paper. Like origami, kirigami has roots in China, where paper was invented around 105 CE. In the 6th century, the Chinese began using colored paper to create decorative cut-outs—a practice known as jiǎnzhǐ. Initially, these paper creations were intended to honor gods and ancestors....
Or so it says in Origami recourse center. Well for me Kirigami is the simplest origami(ik above it state its different but believe me some origami involve cutting and complex folding) among all other type of origami cause all the process in making kirigami is cutting and folding(well no, it also involves drawing, scaling or measuring.).
